To the visiting ladies who are reading The Mirror, we have any number of suggestions for their im promptu Saturday afternoon tour of the city. Within walking dis tance of convention headquarters, they’ll find Christ Episcopal church, the First Presbyterian chufeh, the I*few Befh Public Li brary, the oldest theater operating in America—the Masonic, and last but not least, the restored Attmore- Oliver House. For further suggestions, stop any New Bernian and they’ll gladly give you a helping hand. Form Youth Log In College Studies Farm youth lags behind city youth in- plans to attend college in 1960. 'Only a third of this year’s high school seniors from the farm def initely plan to enter college in the fall, compared to ' about half of the city seniors. This trend showed up in a study made by the Bureau of the Census and USDA’s Agricultural Market ing Service. The study was made in October of 1959., In the age group 10-24, more farm youth than city youth failed to finish high school, and fewer farm youth had ever attended col lege, the study shows. One in five males iii college dur ing the study was majoring in en gineering, one in five in business. Two of every five girls were ma joring in courses that would lead to teaching careers. Self-knowledge, huniility, and love are divine strength. —^kary Baker Eddy. 223 CRAVRN dial MA ijnm FOR FINER SEAFOOD If* Warnor'3 Restaurant dN TRYON PAkACE DRIVE (Formerly South Prorit Street) ■M TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR SALE PRICES ON ANTIQUES & FURNITURE BARGAINS Willis Furniture Co.
