Three business groups—^Indiana State Chamber of Commerce, the Indianapolis Chamber of Com merce and the Indiana Bankers Association—are sponsoring the formation of this new college-stu dent loan fund backed by private capital. Indiana is the first state in a proposed nation-wide non-profit student-loan group known as Unit ed Student Aid Funds. A student, a resident of Indiana, who has fin ished his freshman year with good grades, will be able to borrow up to $1,000 a year for three years, as a bank loan without collateral or endorsement at a single interest rate not to exceed six percent.
