Page Two THE NEW BERN MIRROR, NEW BERN, N. C. Friday, March 17, 1961 MIRROR MEDITATION By EMMITT L. BRINSON Have you ever taken a walk in the springtime on a clear moonlit night, and gazed into the heavens? Aad observed the countless billions of stars, and galaxies out there? Are there planets the same as this infinitesimal globe? When we wonder, and picture what this life is all about, how much of a greater, clearer vision, and understanding we come upon with out advance, than that of the reckonings of early man. How close are we to truth? It took countless millions of yeai’s to bring us to this plateau of un derstanding. Yet. in the past few decades each layer of knowledge has opened a multiplicity of se crets, Jealously guarded by our Creator down through all the depths of time. The truths are now opening to man’s mind at such a pace, more Itas been discovered, absorbed and Rues Beautifully Cleaned. W'e can only ask, W'hy? Why? Has our Creator a more urgent plan for mankind on this globe? Are we being steered? What mys terious destiny awaits the next few years of this life? All that Space out there is not empty as we used to think. Atoms, vapor, dust, makes it even more dense than we supposed. Eleetromagnetlc radiation, bun dles of energetie' protons, are not just light alone, for contained in their action is energy that is con trolled. Space is far from being void. We cannot describe our universe as just matter and energy and their related fields of force. For something in which this space and time is submerged, even greater than life itself. Is mind. A mixture of molecules and atoms, because of its highly com plex structure, cannot become a living organism, and follow a set pattern of growth, each w'ith duties to perform, to become a creature of flesh, without intelligent design and purpose. The wonders revealed by Science in this area of research uncovers countless, electrical, chemical and mechanical energies, active in each living cell, far beyond the compre hension of mere man. Nor does he have the ability to construct, or reconstruct. Our brains are but a paid of this living organism, operated by these highly organized impulses. It is only a receiver, a clearing house of the greatest, most wonderful en dovvnment to mankind, even more mysterious than life. His mind, his thoughts, his awareness. Somehow enveloping all that space and time we see out there is something that words cannot de scribe nor can it be defined in terms of mass, energy and force; nor does a particle of matter or proton contain a mind of its own. Nor can a combination of all these elements, no matter how intricate ly designed, become a mind. Submersed, encompassing all of space and time is something else, far beyond the comprehension and understandhig of mankind, in which all things seen and unseen are engulfed. This is the cosmic mind of the Creator. The infinite spirit of almighty God. A pre-established harmony of law and order. A design with pur pose and reason and intelligence, of which eternity is but a part. Man will never penetrate the bil lions of light years, without re maining in its vacuum. Infinite is its term. Neither beginning, nor end, nor iife, nor death escapes its control. Everything that has been, that is, or will be, is a part this whole, This oneness of all. Man is God’s most highiy, divinely and intimate ly designed creature. A higher /5l66flWUV ^CLEANERS 223 GRAVEN form of all life. A conscious will of his own, with sensations, feel ings and emotions. And along with mind and awareness an even great er’entity and image of the Creator. “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” — Gen. 2:7. How wonderful to realize 'and know that whoever, whatever, wherever, however—it walks with God. ^2 f***..^*** *•'••1 btlmeiiM whMi •iignmcnt, motor ttrtk*, g*n«r«t»r. «t«rt*r ru^' Hirvgy Moor*.
