MEDITATION
By EMMITT L. BRINSON
I can not conceive of a hea
ven that Is limited to a geo
graphical measurement. Nor
can It be just a place described
with jeweled gates and streets
of gold. Nor any other material
with value known to man.
It can not be just a retreat
or escape from earthly trials
and turmoil. Nor can It be a
wishful dream fulfilled and
limited to Individual descrip
tion, derived from disappoint
ment In this life. It Is not so
small for just the favored souls
of this globe.
Ah, Yes, It Includes all these
and much, much more. Beyond
the power of any written words
to express. Just look out Into
the sea of stars and realize
the Immensity of Creation. The
countless billions of worlds.
The Infinity of space, with no
beglnnlng--wlth no end.
Can you grasp the Intelligence
of eternity and the magnitude
of Heaven, knowing the same
God who created all this which
Is seen, created even more
which Is unseen?
Man Is but the embryo of
knowledge not yet born to the
consciousness of the Invisible
universe. It Is when you find

yourself as a oneness with
“This Creator” that you are
entrusted with the knowledge
that His Heaven exists.
Yes, men of all worlds and
concepts will meet there. There
walked upon this earth nearly
2000 years ago One who stated,
“In my Father’s House there
are many mansions. If It were
not so, I would have told you.”
What world are you living
In? What world have you chosen
for yourself? Of course, we will
remain on this globe until we
die, but there are people who
exist In just one meaningless
cycle. To and from work.
Nothing else. They exist is four
walls—home, work and home
again.
Maybe you can not break this
dally course In life, but tomor
row, start out as though you
have never been there before.
Observe everything with a sense
of newness, wonder and beauty.
You see a house; maybe
centuries old, you’ve never
noticed before. If it could talk,
the story it could tell. A tree,
you’ve never even seen before.
The design of a fence, a garden
trellis.
You see the antics of an in
sect, a bird, a dog. The forma
tion of a city in the clouds.
The wind makes a ballerina
from a scrap of paper.
You catch the fragrance of a
flower garden. You stop and ad
mire the architecture of a leaf,
the petal of a flower, a blade
of grass. The carefree song of
the paper boy.
The beauty of the sun as earth
and sky meet in meditation,
prayerfully that you shall choose
carefully, your world for today
and again tomorrow. You will be
surprised at the hundreds of
wonderful things you discover,
as well as those you have long
since forgotten.
There Is abundance of beauty
and life In all Creation. You will
be awed at your joy when you
realize “The house of God Is
all out-doors.” For it Is
written: “The Heavens declare
the glory of God, and the firma
ment showeth his handiwork.”
You can find It in your world,
no matter the limitation of your
habitat.
With all this beauty before
us—just what will Heaven be
like? I wonder!

with a phenomlnal amount of
reading. She has Infected others

countless books In Braille. Pop

The Oklahoma native Is quite
fond of television. Her favorite,
because it Is so “Informative”
is the “Today Show” on NBC.
One of her regrets is that
“Playhouse 90” Is no longer
broadcast. Most programs,
she says, are fairly easy to
follow, thanks to the sound ef
fects.
She loves to fish and go
boating with her husband.
“But,” she confesses, “I’ve
never learned to swim.” More
important, she has learned to
live.
