Page Eight THE NEW BERN MIRROR, NEW BERN, N. C. Friday, October 18, 1963 This past week certainly has been a hot one for all of us. What has happened to the cool fall weather? I guess we are having what you would call “Indian summer.” I must congratulate the foot ball team on the way they have been playing. Even though our team did not win, they played an excellent game. (In my opinion.) That Is something all of us should remember. Though we do not win all the time, we should not complain. I want to wish each and every one of these quite the best or luck. 1 know this goes for the entire High school when I say this I hope they know what a great honor It Is Just to be nominated to run. Friday of last week the first Assembly of the year was held. As always, Mr. McDonald and Mr. Flowers spoke to us. For the biggest and most delightful surprise of all, Tom Lewis and David Whltty sang a selection of scmgs. In my opinion, they are good enough to cut a hit record.
