Cactus- flowered asters grow 3-Inch flowers of many twisted and pointed petals. They are wilt resistant and nice to cut. Beverly Hills, El Monte, Hollywood, Palm Springs and Santa Barbara are all super giants. Green Eyes is a 3-lnch pure white, with green crested eyes. They grow 2 feet and make lovely arrangements. Asters bloom from August until frost, if you make suc cessive plantings. They are not easily damaged, and aren’t hard to take care of. Candytuft Fairy is a trim, dome-like, 8 Inch plant completely covered with pink flowers. They look like a rich carpet. These come in shades of flesh pink, white, crimson, car mine, lavender and rose. Include Forenla or Wish Bone Flowers in your border. It will bloom the year round in pots, but it looks very much like pan sies and is very pretty in your border all summer. Can you think of a nicer Valentine for someone than a gift of your own flowers, at tractively arranged? Or if you prefer, a potted plant would be a lasting remembrance.
