shopping season. Serving cus
tomers whoare rushed for time,
and in many cases are impatient
because they are uncertain and
exasperated, requires diplo
macy and all the energy you
can generate.
Perhaps, after seeinghow un
reasonable and hard to handle
a few customers are, you’ve
promised yourself that you’ll be
more considerate in the future
when you shop for gifts. Rude
ness is hard to forgive, but it
has a way of bobbing up in the
Christmas rush.

Did you see "Charlie Brown’s
Christmas’’ on television a-
gain? We're glad it was re
peated once more, and hope that
as a classic it will be an an
nual presentation. Charlie and
his friends have found the true
meaning of Christmas and we
all need to be reminded of their
discovery, once each year.

that serve us. Consult the list
ings ahead of time, so you won’t
overlook something you’ll be
sorry you missed.
Having the college crowd back
in town will be fun. As you
make your rounds you’ll see
familiar faces. They’ll be very
happy faces too, because coming
home for the holidays is some
thing our friends off at school
have been looking forward to
for weeks and weeks.
