A father was trying to get his
10 year old son interested in
astronomy. There was to be an
eclipse of the moon, and he
telephoned his son so that the
youngster could go outside and
see it.
Arriving home he found that
the son had preferred to stay
indoors and see the eclipse on
TV, rather than in the sky. A lot
of adults also pass up golden
opportunities to enjoy the
wonders of God’s Creation.
Start cuttings of azaleas now,
a four inch cutting of the new
growth. Put them in a shady
spot of sand and peat moss.
Give them plenty of moisture.
More people are complaining
about insects, slugs and worms.
See your local seed man about
all the things that may be
purchased to handle these
pests.
Lawns, because for weeks
they suffered from a lack of
rain, need extra care. If the
grass turned yellow, due to lack
of iron, the deficincy can be
corrected by spraying with
Greenal Liquid Iron.
Be thankful that you live in a
region where there is foliage
almost everywhere you look.
Don’t take beautiful trees,
shrubs, gardens, and lawns for
granted. Help to make your
community the greenest place
on earth.
