i 1 Betterment club to meet The Betterment Club of Vanceboro will hold its Oct ober meeting at the home of Mrs. Johnny Brinkley. Mrs. Fannie Patterson, president of the organiza tion urges all members to attend and urges any new members. The organization was be gun in Vanceboro some fifty years ago for the pur pose of bettering the com munity. The Betterment Club sends a check twice a year to the Boys Home and also tries to help needy people. They also contribute an nually to the local Fire department.
