According to early estimates, campus enroll ment for the current academic year stands at about 11.6 million — a jump of an estimated 300,000 stu dents. National Center for Education Statistics of ficials pointed out recently that last June the number of 18-year-olds graduating from high schools in the Un ited States had “peaked.” As a result, the number of high school graduates is expected to decline into the 19M’s.
