Community Calendar This Week’s Activities UMW meets tonight The United Methodist Women of Chapman’s Methodist Church will hold their January meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall with Mrs. Sallie Moore as hostess. All members are urged to attend. Vanceboro School. All teachers attend. Elementary parents and are urged to Bible Study On Sunday, January 14 at 7 p.m. the Vanceboro Circuit of the Methodist Church, under the direction of Rev. Steve Hickle, will begin a Bible study on Revelations. This will be held four consecutive Sunday nights at the Epworth Fellowship Hall. Books will be available. PTA meets The Vanceboro Elemen tary-Farm Life PTA will meet Monday night, January 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the lunchroom of the Children’s Story Hour There will be a Children’s Story Hour at the Vance boro Public Library on Tuesday, January 16 at 3:30 p.m. The story pro gram will last approximate ly 45 minutes and will fea ture two film scenes from the Walt Disney classic “Alice in Wonderland”. All children are invited to attend this free program. PAC to meet The Farm Life Elemen tary and Vanceboro Elem entary Parent Advisory Council will meet in the Farm Life School basement Tuesday, January 16 at 10 a.m. This meeting is planned for Parental and community involvement in the Reading Program. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Conran of Rt. 2, Vanceboro announced the approaching marriage of their daughter, Deborah, to Mr. Leslie Tripp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mance Tripp, also of Vanceboro. The wedding will take place Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Vanceboro Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Frank Moore officiating. All friends of the couple are invited to attend. Family Living Course The Rev. Robert Worthing is offering a course in family living called, “The Family and the Church” on Wednesday night at 7:30 at the West Vanceboro Church of God. The public is cordially invited. The Ranger Unit #1347- Ernul meets every first Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm at the W.O.W. Hall in Ernul. ’The Rangerette Unit M350 - Ernul- meets every second Sunday in the month from 2 - 4 p.m. at the WOW Hall in Ernul.
