MITCHELL CorKspondent The cold weather has caused most activities to slow to a snail’s pace for the week-end in Ft. Barnwell. People were seen ,going to church, hauling wood, or perhaps visiting a friend or neighbor, while everyone seemed to be trying to keep warm. Troy S. Mitchell departed on Friday evening for New York City. He was due back in Ft. Barnwell on Sunday night. He was accompanied by a friend who was home for the holidays. He was Mr. Benjamin F. Harris from New York. Ft. Barnwell lost two other well-known citizens who were funeralized on Saturday. Mr. Albert Russell was a lifetime resident of Ft. Barnwell and was an employee of the ABC Officers Law Enforcement for a long time. Not only was he well known for his great work as an officer, but he spent many years as a farmer. Mr. King Solomon Blount of Summerville, S. C. was also funeralized. He had moved to N. Y. and worked as a longshoreman for 30 years, but had recently moved to South Carolina. We appreciate all the visitors who have come to worship with us. We invite all who will, to come out and hear the word of God during these services. The Word is full of promises for mankind. If you can’t come, then pray that some lost souls will find their way to Jesus during this revival. In Romans 10:13-16, the word says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?- And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach except they be sent? As it is written. How beautiful are the feetof them that preach the gospel of peach and bring glad tidings of good things.” Hearing the good news of salvation is glad tidings indeed for every lost soul. If .vou don’t know Jesus today as your Saviour, I want to personally invite you to come be with us during this revival and hear the word of God.
