named Bandwoman of
the Year at the Annual
Band Recognition Ban
quet held at West Craven
High School recently.
Other band honors
received by Miss Mc
Omber were Louis
Armstrong Award, John
Phillip Sousa Award, and
Best Section award.
Miss McOmber has
been very active in West
Craven High School-both
in her band activities and
scholastic activities. She
is listed in Who’s Who
Among American High
School Students and
Who’s Who in Music.
She is a senior this year,
and her plans are to
attend East Carolina
University and major in
Business Administration
