It is no secret that West Craven has a most sought after football player, Norman Becton. Becton has been contacted by several of the major schools in the nation. Becton is a 210 lb. senior who has shown high potential as a defensive linesman and outstanding performance as a running back for the West Craven Eagles for the past four years. His efforts this year have included the three touchdowns made so far this season for West Craven. Becton is a team player and appreciates the help his teammates are giving to make West Craven have a winning season. When asked where he was going to school next year, Becton replied, “I’m still listening and concentrating on local football and getting good marks in my subjects.” Football Contest Winner 2nd Week A1 Perry was the winner in last week’s football contest. Perry had a 12-2 score. Jim Lewis was second while Curtis Jenkins finished third. Both had 11-3 marks but Lewis was closer to our tie breaker.
