I' Vanceboro A Senior Citizens By VELMA COX Lane L. Collins of Neuse Mental Health Center spoke April 14 and 17 on Epilepsy which is a disorder of certain nerve cells in the brain. There are three chief types of epileptic attacks; (1) Grand Mai, (2) Petit Mai, and (3) Psychomotor. ,^^In a grand mal ^Wtack, the most severe type of epileptic seizure, the victim suddenly loses con sciousness. The person falls, and muscles jerk. It usually lasts a few minutes after which the person goes into a deep sleep. During a petit mal attack, a mild type of seizure the victim loses awareness of his or her surroundings for only a few seconds. In a psychomotor attack, the patient acts withdrawn and be haves strangely for a few minutes. Afterwards the senior citizens went to the circus at the fairground on highway 70.
