Good News
Along the pathway of life, we have reached the place
where many people feel the Christmas season is a big
rush. For many people it is; because many people wait
till the last minute to start.
They have the same attitude about starting early for
Christmas as they do for preparing for eternity. Some
think they can wait till the last minute to prepare.
Prov. 1:23-33; Matt: 6:33, 7:7.
Some go through the season giving gifts and
preparing for guests because they feel that is what is
expected of them.
Some say - Oh, well Christmas is just for the
children. Isay - That's where some are wrong.
Christmas is for everyone. You will get out of
Christmas what you put in it. To really feel the
Christmas joy, you must know, really know, what
Christmas is.
Here's an account of a Christmas I'll never forget.
December 24th, in the old Taylor Hospital in
Washington, N.C., my husband was seriously ill and
had been in the hospital already for two week. His
mother, a few friends, our two children and I sat there
feeling as if darkness had covered the whole world and
the sun just could not shine anymore.
But, suddenly it was as if a great light had been
turned on, and the sweetest music we ever heard Blled-
the whole place. It was as if life itself had come in. A
group from a local church had come in singing carols
all over the hospital. In front of our door as they stood
for a few moments - the words singing in our hearts
and ears - “The angels bent low to their harps of gold”,
it felt like heaven itself bent to kiss the earth with God's
blessings. There was no dry eyes that night in our
room. But, that was Christmas as we had never known
Christmas before.
Now, my prayer is - Lord, let me in something I do,
say, or give spread some of what Christmas really is to
someone - not only at Christmas, but the whole year
through.

News
The good news from the Word of God for this week
comes from Mark 11:22; Hebrews 11:1; verse 6.
And Jesus answering saith unto them. Have faith in
God.
The Word tells us in Hebrews 11:1, that faith is the
substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen.
We must have faith to become a Christian, to believe
that Jesus Christ died for all of us. We must believe
that when we ask him to forgive us of our sins, that he is
faithful to his promise and will forgive all who come to
him.
As Christians we must walk by faith daily, during
the bad times as well as the good times. Jesus Christ
never leaves us alone during our dark hours, but he
wants us to have faith and believe he is there, even
when we can’t see him. He will bring us safely through
if we believe and faint not.
• We must remember that the Word tells us that
without faith it is impossible to please God: for he that
comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a
rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
The Lord hears our every prayer and he will answer
them all according to our need if we believe and have
faith in God.
