LCC News Recertification The North Carolina Department of Human Resources held a two-day recertification course for law enforcement personnel on November 28th and 29th at Craven Community Colles^e. The course was designed to re-exam the skills and mechanics necessary for law enforcement personnel to accurately and reliably administer chemical analyses of the breath to determine the amount of alcohol in the blood. The course was led by Cecil Lamm, Training Specialist for the North Carolina Division of Health Services and participants included officers from Greenville and Havelock police departments and officers from the North Carolina Highway Patrol. The course is required to maintain a certificate in administering a Breathalyzer test and consists of both written and laboratory examinations. Chris & Sarah Matthews Lenoir Community College will offer updated introductory telecourses in data processing (computers) and money management, starting in January which will include social science credit toward an associate in applied science degree, Mrs. Joyce Cherry, dean of the Commercial Education Division, has announced. The courses are EDP 104, entitled Survey of Data Processing, and ECO 106, which deals with Consumer Finance. Registration will be held on Tuesday, January 10, from 2:30 to 2:46 p.m. and from 7 - 7:16 p.m. in Room 122, Commercial Building, at LCC, Students also may register by mail. Brochures have been distributed at strategic locations in Lenoir, Jones, Greene counties.
