CHURCH Sharing Good News Dorothy Fillingamo The question everyone is asking these days is, "Are you ready for Christmas?" Some of the answers you hear are, "yes, no, almost or just a few more things to do." A few may say they haven't even started preparing yet, and some wish it was already over and done with. What would your answer be if you were asked the question today, "Are you ready for Christ Jesus to come after his Church?" Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, coming into this world as a babe, to be a Savior for all men, everywhere. He is coming again soon. But this time in the air, and all those who are prepared and ready will meet him there, to be with him forever more. Are you ready for Him to come ? Are we looking and waiting for. Him with great joy and anticipation, as the little children are for Christmas morning to come? Let our answer be YES! May all of our readers have a blessed Christmas with joy and love to all, and a Happy New Year in Christ Jesus. Rev. & Mrs. Jay Price and daughter Nancy of Marion, Va., former pastor of West Vanceboro Church of God, wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Love Reba Mitchell Along the pathway of life we are in the fourth week of the Christmas season. We are doing many things to prepare something very special for our love ones, friends, and co workers, for Christmas. This is a great time for showing love. The fourth candle on the advent wreath is the candle of love. It symbolizes God’s love for the world, in giving his only son to be our savior. John 3:16 God is love. 1 John 4:8. Lets prepare our hearts for a greater love than we have known before. Lets inventory our heart. Is there really room fordevine love in our heart? Is our heart too full of the cares of life, greed for processions, power, and other things that would crowd out the pure love of God? It is Christmas so lets take time each day to come apart from the busy schedule to be with the Lord Jesus in prayer and praise. If we always make room for Jesus and never crowd him out there will be enough Christmas cheer, to carry over the whole year through, because if a heart is filled with love it alway shows. The love of God makes a difference. It’s Christmas It’s Christmas, the lights shine so bright. People busy going left and right. It’s Christmas, people shopping and shopping. There seems to be no place for s topping. This has to be done and that has to be done. It’s Christmas, everyone on the run. It’s Christmas, it’s the Lord’s birthday. Dont’ crowd him out give him a place to stay. It's Christmas, he may be passing your way. Invite him in, and celebrate his birthday.
