Temptation Reba Mitchell Along the pathway of life all of us are faced with tempation at some time. We do not have to yield to temptation. We can resist by drawingnearentoGod. James 4:7-10 God does not tempt any man. James 1:13. Temptations do come our way, because the enemy is out to destroy us. He does not care how. We can fight back. Jesus did with the word of God. Matt. 4-1-11. Let’s put on the whole armor of God that we will be a bleto stand! and then stand. Eph. 6: 11-13 Having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod preparation of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit vvhich is the word of God. We can avoid some temptation by not putting ourself in a place of temptation. If we put our hand in the fire we know it will burn. The picture on one side of temptation is very pretty, but the tempter never shows the other side. You may think one side is > pleasure but yeilding to temptation can cause you to lose your, honorand if youfail to repent you can lose your soul. Is it worth it? God has promised he would not suffer any more to come upon' us than we are able to bear.
