A special attraction at this year's Street-A—Fair will be a caricature artist, who will be on the festial site all afternoon and will do on-the-spot cartoon portraits for a nominal fee. More special attractions include weight lifters, a reptile display, marching bands, and the Keystone Kops. More than 300 volunteers join forces with the Arts Council in bringing the festival to realization each year, included in those volunteers are Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, high school youth organiza tions, the 660th maintenance battalion of the North Carolina National Guard, Kinston and Lenoir County law enforce ment officers, various Cify of Kinston personnel, and numerous businesses and civic organizations. Because Street-A-Fair involves and entertains every segment of the Lenoir County community, it has become over the years a community event in the finest sense of the term.
