The Belles of Saint Mart’s D. D. C. VISITS XEW REX Oil Wednesday, February 9, the members of the Doctors’ Daughters’ Club, accompanied by Mrs. Xaylor, adviser for the club, and by Mrs. Cruik- shank. Miss Morrison, and Miss Stewart, attended a tea at the new Rex Hospital. Miss Celia Swecker, the dietitian; Miss Lottie C. Corker, director of nurses; jMiss Grace Airy, technician; and Mr. Thomas, busi ness manager, addressed the group on the duties of their various positions. Dr. Haywood introdueed the speakers and afterwards led the visitors to the hos pital dining room where they were entertained at tea by Dr. and Mrs. Haywood and Dr. and Mrs. West, aided by the hospital staff. After the tea, several of the nurses took the group on an explana tory tour of the whole hospital. Coming back to school, tJie girls expressed their thanks for their in heritance ! GYM NOTES News' Hold up! Posture Week! Posture Week began Tuesday, February 15, and will extend through Saturday. The Gym Depart ment will award a prize to the winner of the Posture Contest, and another to the girl who makes the best poster. To the girls who win second and third places the Gym Department will give points which will count for the individual as well as for the team score. Every girl should be sure to get her colored tag at the beginning of the week. Remember your posture everywhere you are: Faculty and Posture Policemen will “mark” you down if you don’t watch j^our- self. Posture Policemen are; Mu: Anne Flowe, Fran ces Fish, Louise Jordan, Jane Vann, Louise Donald; Sigma: Helen Kendrick, Mary LeRoy Stanton, Betty Cleavenger, Francis Coxe, Sue Harwood. The Badminton Tournament will follow hard on the heels of the finished Ping Pong Tournament. Miss Harvey will post lists in the Gym so that every one interested in entering the tournament may sign up before the end of the week, when Miss Harvey will make the drawings and pair off the players. All games will be singles, and the process of elimination will be similar to that of tennis or any other sport. The Gym Department hopes that both athletic socie ties will be well represented in the contest. Come out. Everybody! The five top-ranking Ping Pong players from each athletic society played off part of their tournament games Monday afternoon with the following results: Watts defeated Murchison; Lynch defeated Valen tine ; Humphrey defeated Seidler.
