We want to ^'^l" bottle these new members of the faculty as well as the aew gii’ls_ We are very glad, also, to see the old faculty ^embers hack again. ON PAINTING THE C.AMPUS, BUT NOT RED .The very first thing we did when we arrived at school his year (not counting signing the arrival cards) was 7 sinell fresh paint. The Chapel, inside and out, the V*nt steps and porch of Smedes, all the halhyays, and 'eii klrs. Cruikshank’s house are all newly painted and terything is as shiny as a brass button. The gym floor, (that was so dark and dull last year), is so shiny dh paint and varnish that it looks like one hir mirror. '' .' i 1 ■ •- V ■ And wandering around in the buildings, what do we find but new fountains with ice water in East and West Kocks, Holt Hall, and in the art building! It makes us thirsty to think about it. And when we get over to Holt Ave are met with a new door mat, new blue rugs (nice and soft) in the parlor, and a big new kitchen in the attic to take the place of the kitchens on second and third floors which had to be made over into bedrooms. Girls, we’ll have that old attic steaming about Saturday night I The girls living in West Eock are lucky, whether they know it or not. Upstairs all the closets have been moved from the rooms into the hall to gh’e more room. Those last year West Eockers Avill haA'e to tell the new girls how much to appreciate the change. Then there’s the new hockey field. All our athletes will certainly be glad about that. Hockey is a grand game, too. Last, we want to say something about our wonderful new Handbooks. Just to compare the new ones with the old makes us proud to know that we’ve put our Student Government into something exact and definite. In fact, Ave’re so proud of all these new things, we’re beginning the year with a happy heart and a broad grin. FORECASTS On Saturday night, in the parlor, the new students will meet the old in the first formal entertainment of the year. Evening dresses and party spirits will add gayety to the party, where students will meet fellow students and faculty.
