Junior Field Day Was Great Fun The Junior class Field Day was held on Friday afternoon, Septem ber 29, at three o’clock. This color ful event, organized by the Senior counselors, was highlighted by the three-legged race. Won by Sada Alason and Flo Pitts, it was the most enjoyed entertainment of the afternoon. Followed by a hand race. Red Rover, a tug’s war, and dodge- ball, the race set the pace for an afternoon of wholesome recreation. A lively game called “Thar’s a Bear over Thar” was played, and the surprise ending was delightful to the unsuspecting victims. To close the feature, the girls held an infamous Leper Colony which was led primarily by Aliss Gee Canada. Ice cream sandwiches were served as refreshment for the participants, who by that time had earned an energy-replacing reward. This event was headed by Mary Larsen, who served as chairman, and a committee composed of the Student Government officers and the counselors on the junior halls. Many thanks go to them for hard work and effort required to make this the event that it was. The main purpose of this event was to acquaint the juniors with one an other. The forty-seven juniors who participated found that the after noon was both fun and profitable.
