St. Mary’s Plays Other
Colleges
On Monday afternoon, March
10th, Peace College played St.
Mary’s basketball team here in
the gym. Before the game there
was a pep rally given at 4:00 by
the cheerleaders. The game re
sulted in a loss for St. Mary’s:
the score was 39-31. The high-
scorers for the game for St.
Mary’s were Connie Johnson with
8 points and Susan Foltz with 12
points.
Wednesday afternoon, St.
Mary’s journeyed to Carolina to
play there. The cheerleaders
went to support the team. Caro
lina girls won the game 50-20.
Connie Johnson had 6 points and
Mary Douglas had 5 points. St.
Mary’s zone defense got good
comments from the officials and
members of the other team. Susan
Ballard was scorekeeper for both
games.
Sea Saints Give
Circus Show
On Tuesday and Wednesday,
March the 25th and 26th, the Sea
Saints will present their show,
“The Greatest Show On Earth.”
The presentation, centered around
the circus, will feature elephants,
panthers, and acrobats. There will
be refreshments and balloons.
The president of Sea Saints is
Sweetie Seifart and the Secre
tary-treasurer is Kathryn Heath.
The other members include Jean
Dillard, Beth Poster, Debby
Frank, Suzanne Green, Bek
Hinkle, Anne Holcomb, Martha
Langley, Sydney Phelps, Dock
ery Roberts, and Kitty Wilkin
son. Their advisor is Miss Dun
can.
