The theme for j\Iay Day 1969
is “A Tribute to the Alumnae.”
This theme is unique since there
is neither play nor plot, as the
program usually has. This .year,
Mrs. Bailey composed and direct
ed the program. Only one presen
tation will be given on Saturday
afternoon at 4 :00.
A progression of dances
thronghout history is the focal
point of the program. The differ
ent groups will perform dances
from different periods beginning
as far back as the cowboys. Mem
bers of Orchesis will lead the
groups with the entire Orchesis
performing together in a dance.
The Caperettes also present var
ious dances. Some of the dances
will be the Charleston, jazz, and
ballet with appropriate music.
The program salutes the alumnae
by presenting dances that they
were familiar with.
The program was choreograph
ed by Mrs. Bailey, the Caperettes
and members of Orchesis.
