He said that all the girls have been extremely nice to him. Mr. and Mrs. Davis both said that the hardest thing will be to say good-bye, but they look forward to all the new experiences of a parish that isn’t so newly developed. Mr. Davis will become the rector of Holy Innocents Church in Henderson, N.C. The Davis family have been with us for the past two years. Before coming to SMC, Mr. Davis was the rector of Christchurch in Rocky Mount for four years, then St. Stephen’s in Durham for 14 years. Both of these two congregations were very small and newly-formed. This was one of the differences between St. Mary’s, St. Stephen’s and Christ Church. Mr. Davis said that one of the most enjoyable things about the life at St. Marys was the opportunity to t^ch which he never had done before.
