Pajama Parties Introduce GIs To Societies The week of September 8 was a big week for the girls’ societies. Tuesday evening the Clios had their semi-annual pajama party in honor of the C-Is. An attractive program was pre sented. Two Clios posing as C-Is were trying to decide which society to join. They dropped off to sleep as they talked and while they slept the “Spirit of Clio” visited them to tell them all about- Clio. The two girls awakened and -panted ice cream. This was the cue for some Clios to bring in the refreshments of ice cream and cookies. On Wednesday the Nonpareils had their semi-annual pajama party also honoring the C-Is. The FORENSICS According to Professor Ramon DeShazo, coach of forensics, preliminary plans for debating and public speaking activities for the 1946-47 term will be mapped out at a meeting to be held on Monday evening, Sep tember 23, at 8:00 o’clock, in Moore Hall, Room 22. Having gained no little reputation before the war, he gave up his position to become a Marine Corps oificer. Introducing the single wing for mation this year. Coach Ramsey has, since September 1, been giv ing the players workouts in fun damentals and routine drills. Working the Lions forward wall into one of the finest defensive teams that Mars Hill has ever had, he has been working with a speedy backfield to accomplish the same for his ground-gainers. QinJX Taking to the field in their first conference schedule since before the war, the Mars Hill Mountain Lions are as eager for action as young cubs in a lair. Sharpening their claws for the first action, the squad is awaiting the visit of Hiwassee Junior College on Sept. 27, when both teams open their 1946 grid season. Girls! Girls! Girls!
