Page Four THE HILLTOP. MARS HILL COLLEGE. MARS HILL. N. C. Oct. 28.19; Tale Of The Spruce Pine Time “WE CAME, WE SAW,” (and although we didn’t conquer, we all had a good time). This was the cry of over one hundred Mars Hill students who attended the Lees- McRae game played at Spruce Pine October 22. Students To See How Two-Faced Faculty Truly Is The return trip was anything but dull as the “bachelors” for the night took it upon themselves to entertain the rest of the crowded bus. Especially hilarious were the antics of the self-appointed cha perones, Tom Olive and Jack Cof fey, until they were forced to re sign their positions by the threats of the much abused couples. While their merriment was taking place, a few students were content to sit back and watch the stars. Many slept. Here axe some gleanings from the return trip. “Get up off the floor, Bonnie,” was followed by Herb distinctly saying, “Give me your arm, Bonnie!” From the front , came, “Goodness, it’s dark in here,” and from the rear, “ ... and boy was it rough!” Reese said, “If you don’t sit still, I’m gonna slap you down!” and a high pitched voice (better known as Martha Snow) pierced the darkness with, “I wanna go to sleep!” much to David Geddies’ dismay. One cornet player was heard to ask, “What are you think ing about?” PATRONIZE OUR ADVERTISERS VISIT THE “Sandwich Shop” “Where The College Gang Meets For Coffee And Donuts” Mars Hill, N. C.
