Sunday School Classes Announce
Officers Chosen for Spring Semester
The college students’ Sunday School classes have elected officers
for the spring semester. General officers for the college depart
ment are Larry Williams, superintendent; Gene McCreary, asst,
superintendent; Peg^ Hill, secretary; Page Shelton, music director;
and Bobby Davis, pianist.
Officers of Dr. Ella J. Pierce’s class are Dot Saunders, president;
Phyllis Jarvis, first vice-president; Judy Clpdfelter, second vice-presi
dent; Judy Swift, third vice-president; and Lu Downey and Sylvia
Greene, secretaries. In Mrs. Cornelia Vann’s class are Thora Belle
Worley, president; Martha Nan-

The Mars Hill debating team
anticipates an active semester
with tournaments which the
team is planning to enter at
Lenoir - Rhyne and Carson -
Newman. East Tennessee State
has been invited to debate Mars
Hill on the Mars Hill College
campus this month.
Many new members have
joined the debating team this
semester. The team now con
sists of John Reagan, Euell
Busby, Coolidge Porterfield,
Paul Clark, Harold Nesbitt,
Audrey Bunce, Johnny Grier,
Jayne Tomlinson, and Anne-
marie Nussbaum. Others who
would like to join are welcome.
