I Offer to Only a Few A Challenge “I would rather attempt to do some thing great and fail, than to continue in the rut of doing nothing and be success ful.” There are many times in our lives that we allow for boredom to frustrate our hopes. This is what can happen to you at MHC if you do not use your time wisely. Hence, sitting around your room and complaining about the food in the cafeteria, that you don’t have a date for this weekend or that there is no way to get anything done around this place, is going to become old real soon; and thus you are going to become blind to the opportunities that are working for you. The Student Government Association is going to hold elections for the Senate at the end of this month. If you think of yourself as one who can take the challenge of being a DOER instead of a TALKER: one who wishes to try and im prove what may need changing, the Senate is the place for you. Do not be one who says I told you so after something has not worked, but to the contrary, be one who says I tried. Thus, when you can say “I tried,” you have taken the first step on the journey to success. Enthusiasticly yours, Richard D.
