Dear Editor,
We wish your cooperation in
our scientific study of the UFO
phenomena. We would like for
you to contact one of our ORION

zation started in April of 1974
by a group of scientists and en
gineers.] officers, designated
below, whenever a UFO is re
ported, In the event that one of
your readers spot a UFO, please
have them call us, day or night.
Prompt notification will enable
us to perform instrumented
observation on these unusual
objects.” Copies of our findings
will be furnished upon request.
One may be credited or remain
anonymous if they wish. We have
questionaires, on which to re
port sightings available, upon
request.
Thank you,
David K. Hackett

Dear Editor,
I do not like the fact that a glass
case has enclosed the post of
fice bulletin board. This area
was nice to have when students
needed a ride home, wanted to
sell a book, or had a silly comic to
put up. No hassel. No keys. Just
stick it up and hope someone
would reply.
Do they think someone is going
to rip the bulletin board off?
Someone up there doesn’t trust
us and that is not a good feeling.
Maybe someone will rip off the
glass!!

This semester, more than any previou
ones that I can remember. Mars H'
radio station is attempting at more tha
a place for disc jockeys to ego-tr'P
and play music. Not only is there ^
move toward “tighter” entertainme#
but also a definite attempt to supply
formation and announcements of ®
vents. Working much more closely W' ,
the S.G.A. and attempting to respo”
to faculty and student needs is one step
but, further, the station needs the ee
operation of fraternaties, sorities,
organizations, and individuals fo
would like to work with them. This y®®
more than any previous W.V.M*’^
will be a source of information and e®
tertainment. Tune in. ,

What were you doing Labor day week
end? Craig Jacobs, John Bradley,
Randy Phillips, and Bill Jerrigin, M.H.C.
students, were running around collect
ing money for his muscular distrophy
telethon being held in Asheville.
This Labor day laboriousness result
ed in nearly two hundred dollars. The
group started Sunday night at 11:00.
They aroused people from their sleep
for this worthy cause only to find out
from the R.A.’s that they needed permis
sion. This resulted in re-wakening don-
nors and returning contributions.
The next morning Dean of Student
Development Jane Holcombe readily
approved of the mission. By challenging
dorms and sitting out in front of the caf
eteria, the large sum of money was col-
