Male Athlete of the Year for 1982-83. Dooley was also named Most Valuable Player
and Offensive Player of the Year at the men’s basketball awards banquet held on
April 16. Standing behind Dooley are (left to right) Tony Mitchell, recipient of the
Star Program Award trophy, which awards a player for academics and citizenship,
as well as athletic reasons; Steve McDonald, Most Improved Player; and Todd Blon-
din. Defensive Player of the Year. HILLTOP Female Athlete of the Year to be
