They also took second place in the Meredith Eastern collegiate Tourna ment in September. This year’s team has a great deal of depth, according to Coach Hart. The team of four strong returners, Cary and Connie Stillman, Cynthia Hill, and Bun ny Cardwell are complimented by six new players, Carla Hatfield, Beverly Kirby, Karen Eikeland, Lana Barnes', Melinda Myers, and Kathryne Yarbor ough. The Lady Lions traveled to Hen dersonville for a practice Match against East Tennessee State on Saturday, March 3 before hosting their first season match on March 7 against Catawba. Coach Hart has great faith in her girls and stresses that one player is in no way more important than another. Dr. Hart feels that all ten players will be in strumental in their quest to win as many of their 15 matches as possible. Good Luck, Lady Lions!
