Inspiralion for Our Generation

Mars Hill College’s second
annual Fall Festival will be held
September 13-15. Mildred
McWharton will deliver the
messages wliile Mary Rome
Foster will be the worship
leader. Also
present will be
faculty, staff,
and students to
give their
testimony.
Fall Festival
will start
Tuesday,
September 13 at
10 a.m. There
will be a second
service held at 7
p.m. on
Tuesday. The
other two
services will be
held
Wednesday,
September 14 at
7 p.m. and on
Thursday, September 15 at 10
p.m. Dorm discussions with
Mary Rome Foster are also
being planned.
Fall Festival is being
presented to the students to
give them a focus on finding a
personal relationship with
God. It is an attempt to
provide an evangelistic.
inspirational revival for the
campus, so as to give a new start
to the new academic year. The
main emphasis will be on
inspiration.
McWharton is a retired
FESTIVAL
Home Missionary who served
in Port Arthur and Houston,
TX, from 1958-92. She has
spent many years in troubled
American inner cities
witnessing and being a friend to
gang members and toughing it
out in low income
Mexican-American
communities. Through fires,
shootings and gang fights.
McWharton has dedicated
herself to spreading the word
of God to the most loved 2md
not so loved citizens of
America. She is highly
recommended as a great
storyteller who
will captivate her
audiences.
Foster is a
graduate of Mars
Hill College with a
Bachelor of Music
degree in Church
Music with a
concentration in
Voice. Her career
expands from
Minister of Music
in churches to
Chaplain of
Richland
Memorial
Hospital. Foster
promises to be
inspirational and a
good witness not
only because of her music, but
because of her recent battle
with a life-threatening form of
cancer. Her theme will deal
with wounds and healing.
Everyone is encouraged to
attend this exciting event which
promises to be full of
inspiration for the new school
year.
