He is Director of Training and; Education for the power supply department of ConEdison in New York City and he and his wife,; Virginia, live in Washington Township, New Jersey. ’64 - It was good to see Dr. Patrick “Tex” McGrawj when he lectured to our pre-med students on March 25. j Tex received his Ph.D. in Neurophysiology and I Biomedical Electronics from Texas A&M University! and is Assistant Professor, Department of Neurology, and Division of Neurosurgery, and Associate in the Departments of Physiology and Anatomy at Bowman* Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University in' Winston-Salem. ’66 - Congratulations to Linda and Joe Bidder on the arrival of ’Thorton Henry Owen on January 31. Frank Mack has been appointed an account executive with VVBTV sales in Charlotte. Richard H. Zittel has been promoted to vice president of sales for “Chemical Purchasing” magazine and the “Chemical Purchasing” Chemicals Directory. He will be responsible for ad vertising space sales nationally. ’67 - John Davis has been elected captain of the South Point Life Saving Crew in Belmont. ’68 - TTianks for the news of yourself, James Adams. He taught fourth grade at St. Michael’s in Gastonia for one year, and since 1%9 has taught sixth grade in Marlboro, Mass. Joe Dominic (’59) told me that his Abbey History On Sale sister Vita has remarried and is now Vita Aifano adviser in the printing group in the textile market for the Saiamida and lives and teaches school in Long Island, southeast and had just returned from aemson New York. He will be promoted to Lieutenant Commander in September. ’69 - Linda and Joe Antosek and their two daughters live in Kansas City, Missouri, where Joe is with Bendix Corporation as production manager. ’71 - Don Furman is a lawyer working for the city prosecutor in Oklahoma City. ’73 - Congratulations to Washington Zealy Plyler, III, who successfully passed the Certified Public Accountant examination given November 3-5. Paul Miano visited the College the last of February. He and Melissa have one child, four-month-old Matthew Gregory, and live in Virginia Beach, where Paul is with VEPCO. Congratulations to Penny and Dave Holley on the arrival of Paul on January 10, their first child. Dave is classified manager of the Gastonia Gazette and they live in Gastonia. ’74 - Richard Lareau visited the Abbey on March 3. He is with BASF Wyandotte Corporation as twhnicaL niversity; Louis C ’75 ~ Phil Baucom stopped by for a short visit on March 25. He is senior auditor with Blue Cross-Blue Shield in Charlotte and he and Geri live in Gastonia. Randy Fescoe is assistant personnel director of Empire National Bank in White Plains, New York, and lives in Newburgh. He stopped by in March on his return from a vacation in Florida. ’76 - Congratulations to Marie Withers Whitaker and Bill Arrowood, who successfully passed the Certified Public Accountant examination given November 3-5. Larry Rieger is a platoon leader at Fort Bragg with the 82nd Airborne Division. Mark White is an agent with Equitable Life in Charlotte. He will begin work on his CLU certification in the spring. Bruce Milburn and Michael Uhren visited the College in March. Bruce is at Hahneman Medical College in Philadelphia and Mike is in the engineering program at Lehigh University. Congratulations and best wishes to Terri Kearns. Clifton Rhodes stopped by the Abbey on his way home to Augusta. He has been working for Scottish Inns in Gastonia.
