The following ptjem, written by Don, seems to indicate that he was not disappointed with the reunion. It rriust have been : worth the long trip! T’was the 10 year reunion And all o’er the grounds The echoes of past times Were deafening sounds ‘01 Chupko confessed To a crime still unsolved But Vito and Creighton Were never involved And Drinkwater passed As he walked a straight line So Brennan and Farrell Needn’t help pay his fine The slides were fantastic The comments too keen Bro. Dr. Bennett Judkins, chairman of the Sociology Department at Belmont Abbey College, has written an article entitled, ‘Social Movements in Social Structures.” The article will be published as a chapter in a forthcoming book, edited by Louis Kriesberg: Research On Social Movements. The book is expected to be released some time next fall. Judkins has also made plans to participate at a meeting of the North Central Sociological Association at the University of Cincinnati, in May. He has done research on “Social Movement Success’ and will provide discussion of several papers on that subject at the conference. Paul Craig, a junior sociology major at the Abbey and recipient of a $2,000 scholarship award, will also participate at the conference. This year Belmont Abbey College’s Department of Sociology has been funded by the Gastonia Housing Authority to provide three students to study that organization. Robena Wentz, Mark Kuhn, and Mary Ellen McGillan were chosen for the project. Reunion Set For Class of ’68 Plans are being made for the ten year reunion for the class of l%8 April 21, 22, 23. This weekend will be held the same w eekend as Spring Weekend so that the class of ‘68 can enjoy the Saturday events of Spring Weekend which include an outing on the soccer field with a circus tent housing, the refresh ments, band and meal. Outside \()lleyball, softball and other ‘tun and sun’’ events make the lay very enjoyable. Father Oscar Burnett, dean of students lur freshman vear has invited the class to have our other activities at the Chi Rho House. This new beautiful house located on perimeter road, is used by Fr. Oscar for his very successful Campus Ministry organization. On Friday evening all are invited to drop in to the Chi Rho house when you arrive. Saturday evening the class of ’M will have a grand ole Sock Hop at the Chi Rho house. So get those white socks, baggy pants and penny loafers ready. More details will follow. We realize that a trip to the Abbey may involve a lot of difficulties, but your ten year reunion only comes once. You may say that things have changed and they won’t be like they were. Well - that’s right. The Abbey has changed in ten years - and so have you. Let us .see what ten years has done to you and w'e will show you what ten years has done to the Ab bey!
