It was Billy Norwood who introduced the bill in ihe last legislature to eliminate the office of Coun tv Treasurer and save Halifax County S2.000 every year. He also voted against and helped defeat a hill which would have raised the salaries of other county officials in Halifax County. He is ready to fight for any legisla tion which will Wring economical and efficient govern ment and help lower taxes. Actions speak louder than words. 2. Billy Norwood has had the experience in the Legislature necessary to get things done. If you don’t know the ropes at Raleigh, and especially at this next session, many of the bills will be lost in the vast number which will he presented. Mr. Norwood has the friends and political acquaintances at the State Capitol which render him a valuable man to Halifax County. They will listen to him. They respect him. 3. Mr. Norwood is a man who is appreciative of your support and he will, at all times, work for the best interests of Halifax County at large. His work in life brings him in contact with both farmer and mill worker. He knows the problems of hofi. He is sympathetic to both. He has waged a ouiet and gentlemanly campaign and deserves your wholehearted support and vote. !. Roanoke Rapids Township, paying more county taxes, with a larger population, than any four townships in the county, demands representation in the Lower House of the Assembly The united vote of this town ship should be cast for Air. Norwood. With the good vote he will get from other sections of the county this Township will he assured of a Representative.
