TWIN CITY HAPPENINGS Miss Mary Powell of Woodland, was the guest during the week-end of Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Daughtrey. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Kee and Mrs. B. F. Johnson visited in Gumberry Sunday. Charlie Jones and son of Mecklen burg, Ya., visited in the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Jones, Sunday. Mrs. W. H. Daughtrey and little daughter Helen left Monday to spend some time with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Edwards in Pelzer. S. C. Friends of Miss Virginia Gentry will be glad to know that she is able to be out again after undergoing an appendicitis operation in Roanoke Rapids Hospital. George Lamm of Nashville spent Sunday here with Mrs. Lamm, who is visiting relatives and friends and is also being treated at Roanoke Ra pids hospital. Miss Eulalia Robertson of Farm Ville, X. C. spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Robert son. Mrs. B. F. Harris and little son returned to their home in Conway after spending some time with Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Edwards.
