TWIN CITY HAPPENINGS Miss Nora C. Chaffin of Greens boro, N. C., a former Roanoke Ra pids teacher, spent last week-end at Coltrane Hall with Miss Mary B. Can non. Misses Mattie Lee Taylor and Clyde Rook spent Sunday in Durham, North Carolina. Mrs. H. G. Garner, who has been visiting in the home of Mrs. C. B. Taylor, returned last week to her home in Stansbury, N. C. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Edgerton of Ealeigh, spent the week-end here with friends. Miss Omaia Daniel honored her week-end visitors, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Barbee of Richmond, Va., with four tables of bridge, on Saturday evening at Coltrane Hall. A placque was given a high score prize and was won by Mrs. Barbee. A salad course was served at 10:30. Mrs. Quentin Gregory gave a reading on "Florida.” Master Steve Millikin was host to the Children of The Confederacy on Wednesday afternoon. They discuss ed Memorial Day and decided to have a weiner roast. The following pro gram was rendered: reading by Miss Sara Dickens.
