TWIN CITY HAPPENINGS Harry Shell is working in B. Marks for a few weeks in the place of Wal ter Kee, manager of the men’ sde partment, who underwent a major operation at Roanoke Rapids hospit al this week. Miss Ethel Harris ha8 returned to her position in the sales department of the B. Marks Store after several week absence on account of illness. Lloyd Bryant and Larry Jordan spent Sunday in Rich Square. W. T. Tomlinson of Roanoke Ra pids .-pent the week-end in Wilson visiting friends and relatives. Hazel and Erma Pridgen Marjorie Call and Messrs R. L. Top ping and Roland Mason. Mrs. T. W. M. Long and Misses Maria and Margaret Long will at tend the graduation exercises at St. Margarets School, Raleigh, next week. The '9 Class had a party Friday night from 8 till 10:30 in the home ,,f Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Hudson. Ine guests played games and enjoyed mu sic then a contest was held in whicn Mildred Fisher was voted the most interesting girl and James Cannon and Nathan Tickle tied for the most interesting boy. Refreshments were served then Edythe Welch, Repre senting the '9 Class, presented to Mrs. Hudson a hand embroidered tea towel Those present were: Essie Sullivan, Ophelia Chambliss, \eia Bullock.
