DIES THIS AFTERNOON H. P. M. Garris died at his home at Margarettsville late this after noon. The funeral will be held at that place Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. They rushed in the house to find him dying on the floor. He had used a shotgun and a reed three feet long to push the trigger. Pulling his overall bib down, he had placed the gun near his heart. His parents knew of no reason for the action. Coroner Williams pronounced it a clear case of suicide. ROSEMARY W. M. S. The Womans Missionary Society of the Rosemary Baptist Church held their regular monthly meet ing on Tuesday evening. Mrs. Paul Matthews led devotionals. The medicine show man refused to stand for expense of treatment of his employee. The show has moved on after being ordered out of the county for being a general nuisance. It showed for a while in South Rosemary and then moved to Belmont. Willie Maynard, 35, colored, was found dead near the raliroad tracks here early Monday morning. Two people, one a Roanoke Ra tuls girl, were killed yesterday vhen their car crashed into a con ■rete bridge near Hattleboro. The g;inl. Beiftha Hinson, was killed instantly. Her neck was iroken. C. C. Barnes, driver of the ca1-, [lied late yesterday afternoon in a Rocky Mount hospital. Both arms and legs were broken and the man suffered severe interna! injuries.
