Next Week At Local Theatres IMPERIAL PROGRAM FOR WEEK The Imperial hits the familiar stride for good pictures next week with two note-worthy films, “Sil ver Dollar” and “The Match King,” the first half of the week, while Lee Traoy stars in “The Night Mayor” for the Friday only offering and Tom Keene appears in “Ghost Valley” for Saturday of next week. No stage attraction has been announced. Edward G. Robinson appears as “Yates Martin,” silver tycoon of the early West in “Silver Dollar.” The picture is based on the novel ojf the same name, which tells of the adventurers who swarmed in to Colorado during the richest sil ver* strike in history. Immediately upon the heels of thgr most amazing international financial swindle in modern busi ness history comes “The Match King,” paralelling in screen drama the astonishing story of one man’s skillful manipulation matches into a colossal bubble that broke only {when general business conditions rfivealed the crookedness of the financial machinations. The pic ture stars Warren William and of fers Lili Damita in the supporting cast. “The Night Mayor” offers Lee —At The Imperial — Next Week — Here’s the “male interest” next week at the Imperial, girls! At the left is Edward G. Robinson, whose latest characterization is set f^irth in “Silver dollar,” which comes Monday and Tuesday. It is a scene from his latest picture: “Th|p Match King,” and will be shown to Roa noke Rapids’1 audiences for the first time Wednesday and Thurs- ' day at the Imperial. Mrs. Meyer Dies Of Pneumonia Mrs. M. R. Steinberg was called to Enfield last week on account of the illness and death of her mother, Mrs. Meyer. For the past three or four years Mrs. Meyer has been a partial in valid but was able to be out part of the time, until about a week before her death, she developed pneumonia. All of her eleven children were with her when death came. She has visited her daughter here on various occasions and her many friends extend sympathy to her bereaved loved ones. Mrs. Frank Horwitz, formerly of this city, was also a daughter of the deceased. The Presbyterian Auxiliary met Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. Frank Nash.
