Daily Vacation Bible School To Begin Next Week The First Baptist Church will be gin its Daily Vacation Bible School Monday, June 18th, 9 a. in. Child ren between the ages of 4 and 14 are welcome. The pastor, Gordon L. Price, would greatly appreciate he support of the parents of our community in this undertaking. Of ccurse the school is under the sup ervision of the Baptist church but there will be no doctrines dis cussed or taught in the class ooms. The program will include devotional, hand work, and whole some recreation. Harrell were recent hostesses with bridge at which time twelve players were engaged in an interesting game of progressive contract. After sev eral progressions the scores were collected and Miss Wilimena Branch was found to hold hign for ladies and Mr. W. A. China high gentlemans score, both were presented attractive gifts. A sal ad course was served. The follow ing enjoyed this delightful affair: Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Cleaton, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lipscomb, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. China, Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Dickens, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Williams and Miss Wil imena Branch, house guest of Mrs. Williams. Williams-Ed wards The wedding of Miss Alma Ed wards and Herman Williams was solemnized Saturday, June U, at Emporia, Va. The ring ceremony was performed by Sol Wrenn. The bride was becomingly attired ill a lotus blue dress with white ac cessories. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Edwards. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Williams. The young couple will make their home in Roancke Rapids. They were ac companied to Emporia by Misses Rosa Williams and Janie Cooke.
