Bobbitt spent Friday in Norfolk. Mr. and Mrs. II R. Robinson Mrs. Horace Palmer and Mrs. N. E. Mitchell were visitors in Rich mond last week. Mrs. vv. li. Browning ami son Wilton, Mrs. W. H. Johnston and Dennis Rose visited Mrs. Bibbs who is in Stewart Circle hospital, Richmond last week. Mrs. H. A. Hunt and Miss Hat tie Cullom were visitors in Nor folk Friday. Mrs. J E. Stansbury has re, - turned from a Richmond hospital where she went for an examina tion. Friends will be glad to learn that Mrs. Sans Stansbury who has been seriously i 1 for eight months is slowly improving. W. M. Perkins was a visitor in Norfolk last week. Mrs. A. J. Watkins of Hender son spent several days Here last w;eek. Mme. Mariette Pall er of Lyons. France, was bitten by a snake which had coiled itself in the ov en of her kitchen stove. Fine Wether Monte Thornton proudly dis plays “Thornton’s Triumph,” eight-month-old. 110-pound pure bred Shropshire wether, which won tin grand championship at tio international Livestock Show. The animal was raised at Michigan State College. MISS DANIEL ENTERTAINS Miss Omara Daniel entertained at bridge Wednesday evening at Coltrane Hall, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Land, formerly Miss Eloise Eubank of Americas, Ga. The Christmas idea was carried out in the decorations, tallies, fa vors and refreshments. Miss Ada Edwards received lijigh score prize for ladies, two bon bon dishes. Aston Richardson received high stoic for men, a box of handker chiefs. The guest of honor, Mrs. Land was given a lovely pierce of pottery. At 10:30 a sweet course was served to Mr. and Mrs. Ben Israel of Weldon, Misses Ada Edwards, Ruth Dean, Mary Cannon, Aline Cannon, Martha Spivey and Messrs Zack Williams, Earl Dau ghtry, John M.
