State Officials Delegation To Congress Solid The Democratic Party swept North Carolina in the general elec tion Tuesday, electing Clyde Hoey Governor and all other State of ficials on the Democratic ticket and sending back a solid Demo cratic delegation to Congress. President Roosevelt ran ahead of all State and local candidates, getting the largest vote ever given a candidate in any North Carolina election and the largest majority. Girl Scouts Have Halloween Party Troop Numbers 3 and 4 of the Girl Scouts, under the leadership of Miss Edna Wafford, Miss Helen Turner, Miss Sara Gannon and Mrs. Denny, gave a delightful Hal loween party at the Presbyterian church on the evening of October 28th, the committee members of each troop also assisting.
