Neighbors dropping
by for egg nog
That’s me mixing the egg nog
and my brother in law Tom
with his back facing you. My
brother William is sort of half
sitting on the sink. Coming in
the door—that’s Larry Burkes.
It’s old Nat Weeks with his
hand in his pocket. The
party with the pipe, folks
^ around here just call Cap.
Harry E. Wilken
There’s no egg nog I know of
near so tasty as our
Family’s Whiskey makes!
I thought maybe you’d like to know what us distillers think is the K
way of mixing a egg nog that’s got a tastiness like nothing else. ||
It’s made of the exact same whiskey as is used by us distillers for sf
our egg nogs. Our own Family’s Whiskey—made according to the gj
personal Family’s Recipe of us Wilkens—our family having been J|
distilling folks ever sinceanybody can remember. You just ask for The IS
Wilken Family Whiskey. And here’s the way you mix your egg nog. 11
EGG NOG—1 tablespoon Sugar or
1 oz. Rock Candy Syrup. 1 fresh Egg.
V3 glass fine Ipe. 1 wine-glass Wilken
Family Whiskey. Fill up with milk.
Mix in a bowl or shake in an “egg
nog” shaker, and strain. Grate a
little nutmeg on top and serve.
