NEXT WEEK AT ROANOKE RAPIDS THEATRES LORETTA YOUNG & TYRONE POWER IN IMPERIAL FEATURE Together In Mew Romantic Coro’dy At Uptown House Tyrone Power and Loretta Young are co-starred again in “Second Honeymoon,” coming to the Impe rial Monday - Tuesday. Already hailed as the merriest “marry-est” romanee of the year, the film is said to be their perfect picture to gether. The reason is the smart, modern, gay and witty manner that has made them the most exciting sweethearts of the screen. All the world loves a lover, and all the world has followed these two lov ers as they show new ways to ro mance. When Tyrone and Loretta meet under the Miami moon for an im pulsive kiss, their love is news once more, but this time uiey mean it with all their hearts. Love at first sight is romantic enough, but love at second sight . . . 'MMM! “Second Honeymoon” is their per fect picture together as their “Re no’d” honeymoon is renewed in the merriest, “marry-est” romance of the year. Tyrone, so ardent, and Loretta, so gay, were exciting in “Love Is News" and “Cafe Metropole,” but this time they really have their hearts fn it! Stuart Erwin, Claire Trevor, Marjorie Weaver, Lyle Tal bot and J. Edward Bromberg are included in the cast of the film. ****** Take the frog voice and bland air of Lynne Overman, plus the amiable tomfoolery of Roscoe Karns, add the blandishments of Muriel Hutchinson, plus the charm of Inez Courtney, and the suave menace of Anthony Quinn, and you have the recipe for a swell picture. That will be proved at the Impe rial Wednesday only when “Part ners in Crime” will be presented. It is a smooth and entertaining blend of mystery and comedy and should not be missed. ****** Ann Scrthern, Burgess Meredith and Mary Boland head a large cast of favorites who romp through “There Goes the Groom", roman tic comedy which will be seen Thursday-Friday at the Imperial. The plot concerns the predica met of Meredith who returns from a successful gold trek to Alaska to find that Louise Henry, the girl who promised to wait when he left, has become engaged to another. Ann Sothern, as a youthful admir er, catches him on the rebound, and is about to lead him to the altar when interference by her family, particularly Mary Boland who plays her scheming mother, inspires the gold seeker to feign amnesia rather than go through with the wedding. Before matters are finally settled to the satisfac tion of all concerned, the players, are involved in one hilarious situa tion after another. A strong supporting company, including Roger Imhof, William Brisbane, Sumner Getchell, and A drian Morris appear with the three stars. ****** CHOCKOYOTTE fcrade* Dairy Wfcok Milk ami 1 Q* Choeolaia Milk 1 vt WMpptep CM PC » Pbon. But between the young man’s hectic romance with the pretty sister of one of his class mates, and the efforts of his rival anjl enemy to get him into trouble, the father’s fond hopes are con stantly in danger of frustration. When Ellison decides to resign from the Academy in order to mar ry the girl and she learns what a blow it will be to his father, she courageously sacrifices her own happiness by promptly dismissing the attention of the young cadet.
