Final figures on the Community Chest drive for Roanoke Rapids show that a grand total of $16, 344.14 has been subscribed by the citizens and industries of Roanoke Rapids in the successful drive held here last week. This is almost double the original quotas set by campaign chairman F. M. Sherry. The Industrial Division, com prising employees of Roanoke Rapids’ industries, with a quota of $4,000, went 97 per cent over their quota with a total subscribed of $7,891.74. The Special Gifts Di vision, comprising the industries and special gift individuals, with a quota of $4,500, went 44 per cent over their quota with a total sub scribed of $6,468.00. The General Solicitation Division, with a quota of $1,500 went 32 per cent over their quota with a total subscribed of $1,984.40. T. J. Alford was in charge of the Industrial Division, R. L. Towe in charge of the Special Gifts Division and A. E. Akers of the General Solicitation Division. By teams, their final reports are as follows: Industrial Division Rosemary Mfg.
