Sir: The local talent of Roanoke Rap ids is indeed remarkable, while the-1 atricals are rather a side line in my life it must be said that on last Friday evening, March 17th, a most enjoyable two hours were spent in being highly entertained by the splendid musical show given by the Kiwanis Club of this city. Most unusual were the various acts. Many were comical, some were romantic, others were filled with wit and humor, while the fine voices and the good music seemed to hold a large audience spell bound. The circus feature was unique, the different animals were repre sented by the male actors. Often two or three men were required to form the larger animals. One would suppose a little boy five years of age would find en chantment in these man made ani mals. Not so my little five year old grandson. On his return from the show he was sent at once to bed, but not ot sleep for we over heard the most animated mono logue on the subject of “Pretty Girls”. Must be a masculine weak ness. Well, the ladies do love to have admiration—they always did. Taken as a whole the play was very, very good, and best of all the proceeds will be used for a most most worthy cause. Congratulations, Kiwanis Club, and most praiseworthy the local talent. Mrs. Ruby Sims Rudd, Richmond, Va. NEW HOPE CHURCH Sunday School Sunday p.m. at 2 o’clock. Rev. C. T.
