Card Postdated 1926 Comes To Miss Fanny Sat. Miss Fanny Manning found in ‘ her mail last Saturday morning a card addressed to a woman in Dallas, Texas. It carried a post mark of Birmingham, Alabama, April 16, 1926. | The card was written in a femi nine hand and stated that the writ er would see the addressee before Sunday, April 28, presumably in 1926. The scene pictured on the front I of the card shows “An entrance to Mountain Terrace” in Birmingham. Two cars, of early 1920 models, are shown in the street. The card was in good condition, as if it might have been dropped ►' into a post office only a week ago. The writing, in ink, was in no way illegible from age. No one seems to have an ex planation as to why it came into Miss Fanny’s hands. Former Citizen Of Weldon Passes At Dunn December 28 Mrs. Irene B. Zollicoffer died Thursday morning in Dunn, N. C., following an illness of several | months duration. Funeral services Were conducted from the home of her sister in Dunn Friday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock and the body was taken to Four Oaks for burial. Mrs. Zollicoffer was a resident * of Weldon for approximately fif teen years, moving to Dunn only a few weeks ago. She was a mem ber of the Weldon Methodist I Church where she was a choir I member, and also a member of the | Junius Daniel Chapter of the U. D. | C. She is survived by two children, Eleanor Zollicoffer and Marion Zollicoffer, her mother, Mrs. Baker, and one sister, Mrs. Braxton John H son of Dunn. AGED LITTLETON CITIZEN PASSES * AFTER INJURY T. V. Picot, 85, who lived with his nieces, Carrie Helen and Lizzie Moore at Littleton, died in the Roa * Hoke Rapids Hospital last Sunday morining at 5:00. Mr. Picot fell in the cellar of the Moore home on Friday night and broke his leg. He Was brought to the hospital where <| his condition was not considered serious. He became unconscious Saturday afternoon and did not ral ly before his death Sunday morn ing. A short funeral service was held % tor Mr. Picot Monday morning at the Littleton Episcopal Church. He Was then taken to Como, near E denton, where he was buried Mon day afternoon. The deceased is survived by three H nieces, Carrie Helen and Lizzie Moore, and Mrs. M. P.
